How to setup Digital Downloads via Email
We’re currently working on developing a Digital Download service directly within PhotoMerchant. This will allow your customers to buy digital files and then download them at various sizes once the payment has been confirmed. In the meantime, you can use the existing functionality to sell digital files and deliver them via email. Here’s how you do it.
Setup your wholesale pricing options
1) Click on the Business tab and then create a new “Paper Size” and call it “Digital JPEG”. Set a wholesale price of $1 and do not apply any taxes to it. Press Save. Note: create additional items if you plan to offer multiple image resolutions.

2) Create a “Paper Type” and call it “Sent via Email” or words to that effect and set a wholesale price of $0. Press Save. Note: you could even create an additional “Delivered via CD” option if you like.

3) Create a “Shipping Option” item and call it “Digital Files (no shipping required)”. Set the Destination to “Pickup”, set the Wholesale and Retail prices to “0″, deselect Taxed and Press Save.

With these items set in your wholesale settings you can now create/edit your Feature Sets and Pricing Models that will be applied to your Galleries.
5) A Feature Set is where you configure the Print Size and Paper Type combinations you wish to offer. For this to happen you need to move items from the Available panel into the Active panel and then configure the combinations in the lowest panel.
To get started, click on the Feature Sets button. Then click on the title of the Feature Set you wish to edit (choose Default Feature Set if you have not created any yourself). Move the new “Digital JPEG” item by ticking the box and clicking the IN button to move it from Available to Active.
Do the same for the Paper Type items, move them from Available to Active

6) At the bottom of the Feature Set page, select the product combinations you want to offer for your digital download. To activate your digital download, select the “Send via email” box for the “Digital JPEG” option. Press Save.
Note: make sure that the other print based products have the “Send via email” option deselected.

7) Next, click on the Pricing Model button. Pricing Models are where you will set the Retail Pricing for your various photography products. To edit a Pricing Model, click on the title you wish to edit (in this case, choose Default Pricing Model if you have not created any yourself).

8) Add the retail pricing for the “Digital JPEG” Paper Sizes you wish to offer and set the “Delivered via Email” option to $0 (or 0%) – just do not leave it blank. Press Save.

9) The last step is to ensure that the Feature Sets and Pricing Models are applied to the Gallery. Click on the Photos tab, and then click “edit” for the Gallery you wish to have the digital downloads available for. At the bottom of the pop-up window, select the Feature Set and Pricing Model that you added you have just edited. You can then apply these same Feature Sets and Pricing Models to any other Gallery that you want to make these options available in.

10) When a customer has successfully ordered a digital file, you can then email them the files manually. To complete the job, go into the order and change the Order Status to Complete and you’re done.
